Eggnog French Toast Recipe

The best French toast recipe ever! This recipe is great for a special holiday breakfast and everyone in the family will fall in love with this recipe.
Course Breakfast, dinner, lunch, Main Course
Cuisine American, French

Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 Slices of Bread
  • 1 to 1 ½ Cup of Eggnog
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 ½ Tsp McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Nutmeg
  • Butter

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, add your eggnog and eggs that have been whisked.
  • In the same bowl add the vanilla extract, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
  • *Tip: Eggnog is already sweet- so there’s no need to add sugar. You may add a pinch of cinnamon, but you don’t really need to.
  • Stir everything together until well blended.
  • On medium-high heat, in a skillet add some butter and allow it to melt.
  • Take a slice of bread and dip it into the eggnog mixture quickly, then add the bread to the skillet.
  • Cook the bread on one side until it’s a nice golden-brown color, then flip and continue to cook the other side. (It only takes a minute or two for the bread to brown).
  • Repeat the bread & eggnog dipping process until all the French toast is cooked.
  • Once done, add powdered sugar and maple syrup to your Eggnog French Toast. Enjoy!
