Taco Salad Recipe
Ingredients
Method
- Prep the veggies beforehand. Clean and cut up the romaine lettuce; dice the tomatoes, onion, and avocado. Set aside.
- In a skillet, over medium high heat add the ground beef. Optional: add a few onions & allow the meat to cook.
- Stir the meat consistently, making sure to brown it and allow it to fully cook. The ground beef will produce its own fat, so once the meat is done- drain the excess fat/liquid.
- Season the meat with taco seasoning, add water, and allow the liquid to come to a boil.
- Stir consistently. Once the liquid is at a boil, lower the heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Allow the meat to fully cook.
- Next, Prepare the salad bowl: Add the lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, onions, shredded cheese, and tortilla/Doritos chips.
- Add any additional toppings you prefer, then add the cooked meat on top.
- Serve with your favorite taco salad dressing and Enjoy!
