It’s summertime & making some kabobs at home

for the family to enjoy would be awesome.

You can bake these in the oven or prepare on the grill for a family BBQ. 

Steak kabobs are one of my favorite meals to cook up. These bad boys are perfect when made in the oven, and even better when grilled.  The meat is seasoned in a delicious marinade of olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and a few seasonings. I love to add an assortment and colorful veggies to make this dish a bang. For this recipe I like to use onion, red & green bell peppers, with sliced mushrooms. But feel free to use whatever veggies you like. 

This is a great recipe that everyone will enjoy. It’s super easy & doesn’t require much work. You can whip up these delicious steak skewers in no time. Feel free to make as a mini appetizer or main meal. You can make this steak kabob as a main dish by adding a side of seasoned rice, a salad, or add some mixed veggies. Use whatever cut of meat that you like such as sirloin, top round, ribeye, or NY strip. When making this dish allow the meat to marinade & soak up all those flavors to make a great dish. You can marinate for 30 minutes up to an hour. Just don’t skip out on this part- you want the kabobs to be tender. 

When making these kabobs in the oven, and if you’re going to use the wooden skewers. It’s important to allow them to soak in water first. This will prevent the skewers/wood from burning. Before you start preparing the meat & veggies, just put the skewers in water. But give them enough time to soak for 20 to 30 minutes. I like to use a wire rack when baking these but use what you have.

Juicy Steak Kabobs Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1½ to 2 Ibs Steak cut into chunks
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Soy sauce
  • ½ Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Drizzle of Honey
  • 1 tsp Seasoned Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1 Lime Freshly squeezed
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Bell peppers
  • 1/2 Cup Sliced Mushrooms

Method
 

  1. Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 25 minutes.
  2. Prep the steak: cut into chunks and place it in a bowl.
  3. Add the olive oil. Drizzle enough soy sauce, honey, and Worcestershire sauce to coat the meat.
  4. Add the seasonings: pepper, oregano, thyme, cumin, & squeeze fresh lime juice.
  5. Mix everything together & allow the meat to marinate for 20 to 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven @ 400°F
  7. Prep the veggies & cut into large chunks, set aside for later.
  8. After the meat is marinated, start building the kabobs on the skewer sticks, then place on a greased wire rack. There should be left over marinade, use that for basting.
  9. Bake 10 minutes @ 400°F. Take the kabobs out of the oven & baste with the marinade liquid. Then, bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes or until done.
  10. The meat & veggies should be tender when done. Enjoy!
