You can never go wrong with whipping up a steak and potatoes meal for dinner. It’s even better when it’s served with a tasty and yummy creamy Cajun butter sauce that’s seasoned to perfection!
I have the perfect steak & potatoes recipe for lunch or dinner. This meal is super fulfilling and such a treat for your cheat days. This recipe is super simple, versatile, and scrumptious. Steak and potatoes are one of my favorites, and this dish doesn’t require much effort. While the potatoes are baking, you can focus on preparing the steak & Cajun butter sauce. Plus, this recipe is so versatile that you can adjust this steak & potatoes recipe to your liking.

Steak Baked Potato with Cajun Butter Sauce
Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F to 400°F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Clean & scrub the potatoes beforehand.
- Pierce the potatoes with a fork, poking a few holes throughout potato. Place the potatoes in pan.
- Drizzle oil over the potatoes, sprinkle a little salt/pepper, and rub ingredients onto potato.
- Bake uncovered for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes. (Or bake until the potatoes are fork tender and skin is crisp.)
- **Note: Bake potatoes uncovered, you don’t need to wrap them in aluminum foil.
- Slice potatoes open when done and set aside.
- Prep the steak (You can cut into bite size pieces.)
- Season with oil, salt, pepper, and garlic/Herb Seasoning. Rub ingredients onto meat.
- In a skillet, add a small drizzle of oil or cooking spray over medium high to high heat.
- Once the pan is hot, add the steak bites and allow the steak to cook to your liking or until well done.
- When the steak is about done add a little butter and coat the steak in the melted butter.
- Once done, set aside.
- In a pan over medium low to low heat, melt the butter and add the half & half or heavy cream.
- Add the seasonings & Parmesan cheese, mix until the cheese has melted.
- Do a taste test of your sauce & adjust to your liking.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately with the potatoes.
