Yummy Raspberry Strawberry Margarita
The infused flavors of fresh strawberries, raspberries, lemon juice,
and a touch of sweetness makes this margarita “Oh so irresistible”!
The Perfect Berry Fruit Cocktail Recipe!
Margaritas are a classic drink and in some households a party staple. My recipe is easy to follow and it’s so simple to make. Rather you’re celebrating Cinco de Mayo, enjoying tasty summer drinks, or taking a much needed “me time” break – this delicious raspberry strawberry margarita will not let you down. It’s one of my favorite margaritas to make when I want to unwind for the evening with a cocktail in tow.
For this recipe, I used spiced rum as my alcohol of choice. But feel free to make any adjustments you see fit. If you want, you can use a nice tequila in place of rum. Your margarita will taste just as good as tequila. Use a good quality brand for your alcohol choice. Now, I used a simple syrup to sweeten my margarita to my liking. You can make a homemade simple syrup or store brought. A sweetener alternative to simple syrup would be agave or honey which are good healthier alternatives. I recommend using freshly squeezed lemon juice; don’t use the bottle stuff. If you must use bottled lemon juice it will suffice, but fresh ingredients are always better. Especially when making a good margarita.
Rather you like your margaritas frozen or on the rocks, we can’t forget one of the perfect parts of making a good margarita. I recommend you rim the serving glasses with a margarita sugar or salt mix. If you don’t want to spend the extra coins for a margarita salt mix, you can use fine sea salt or granulated sugar. Salt the rim by rubbing a lime wedge around the edge of the serving glasses/cup and dipping it onto a small plate of margarita salt or sugar.
With just a few ingredients and a few minutes to spare, you can whip up the perfect margarita in no time. If you’re a fan of margaritas like me, you will love the infused flavors of fresh strawberries, raspberries, fresh lemon juice, and a touch of sweetness that is “Oh so irresistible”.
Tips for a good margarita:
- Use good quality alcohol. Most margaritas are made with tequila, but you can use Orange Liqueurs or rum to swap out tequila in some recipes and for your taste bud preference.
- If you want a stiffer drink, mix in a little more alcohol.
- Only fresh lime or lemon juice. Fresh lime or lemon juice just taste better for cocktail drinks.
- When making margaritas you can use simple syrup, agave, or honey as a sweetener.
- A good margarita is usually served with salt on the rim, but you can use sugar instead. Always salt the rim of the glass before you pour your cocktail! After you salt the rim, fill the glass with some ice cubes.
- To make the perfect cocktail, feel free to adjust and do a taste test based on your taste buds. Some people like their margaritas on the sweet side others want more of a tangy taste. So always adjust to your liking.
