Easy Buttery Mashed Potatoes Recipe.
Ingredients
- 6 medium sized potatoes (Russet Potatoes or Yukon Gold)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup half &half
- 4 to 5 Tbs butter
- 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black Pepper
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Parsley flakes (For garnishment)
- Water
- 2 tsp Better than Bouillon Roasted Chicken Base (Optional)
Instructions
- On high heat, bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Optional: Add 2 tsps. of the Better than Bouillon Roasted Chicken Base to the water, stir & let it dissolve.
- Clean the potatoes beforehand, then cut the potatoes in smaller pieces.
- Next, place the chopped potatoes into the pot of water.
- Allow the potatoes to cook until they are tender. (Use a fork to pierce the potatoes & check for softness)
- Once the potatoes are tender, drain the potatoes in a colander.
- On medium heat, add 4 to 5 tbsp of butter into a large pan. Allow the butter to melt.
- Once the butter has melted - add in the potatoes.
- Turn the stove off and use a masher to mash the potatoes into the melted butter.
- Then, pour in the half & half and milk.
- Add the dry seasonings to the mash potatoes
- Sprinkle in the mozzarella cheese and mix everything together.
- Garnish the mash potatoes with parsley flakes (optional).
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
