I love to make it a complete meal with a side of hickory smoked bacon, scrambled cheesy eggs, and a cup of coffee.

I love to whip up my French toast by serving it with sliced fresh fruit such as strawberries and/or bananas, with some warm maple syrup drizzled on top. If I feel like going over the top, I’ll add a little whip cream too. This French toast recipe is one I serve for those leisurely weekends, and I want to treat myself. This recipe is so delicious and effortlessly to make. It doesn’t require much, and you’ll have a great tasting breakfast in no time. 

For this recipe I’m using brioche bread, but you can keep it simple and used regular sandwich bread. You’re still gonna get that buttery delicious cinnamon French toast flavor. Pair the French toast with bacon, sausage, eggs, and/or fruit. I love to dress up my French toast with fresh sliced fruit such as strawberries or bananas, and sometimes I’ll add both. There are so many awesome ways to hook up your French toast breakfast with endless toppings. 

This is the perfect cinnamon French toast recipe. It’s nicely crisp at the edges with a buttery rich flavor. Please don’t skip out on the vanilla and cinnamon, these ingredients come together effortlessly to make this French toast so delicious. This yummy French toast recipe takes less than 15 minutes to make and it’s so fulfilling.

Cinnamon French Toast Recipe

Whip up your French toast by serving it with sliced fresh fruit such as strawberries and/or bananas, with some warm maple syrup drizzled on top

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Brioche Bread
  • 1/2 cup Milk or Half & Half
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 to 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • Maple Syrup
Optional Toppings: Add your favorite fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, or bananas, powdered sugar, or/and whip cream.  

Method
 

  1. Prep the brioche bread, cut into thin or thick slices and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl add your milk, whisked eggs, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, sugar, salt and stir all the ingredients until well blended.
  3. Melt a few pieces of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Dip the bread slices into the egg mixture, turning to coat evenly on both sides and then place into the skillet.
  5. Fry the bread slices until cooked through and browned. Flip halfway through cooking time to cook both sides. It may take up to 2 to 4 minutes, but you should get a nice golden-brown color on each side.
  6. Once the French toast is completely cooked, remove from the skillet and repeat the process until all the bread is cooked.
  7. Serve with syrup and Enjoy.
  8. Optional Toppings: Add your favorite fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, or bananas, powdered sugar, or/and whip cream.
