Cinnamon French Toast Recipe

Whip up your French toast by serving it with sliced fresh fruit such as strawberries and/or bananas, with some warm maple syrup drizzled on top

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Brioche Bread
  • 1/2 cup Milk or Half & Half
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 to 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • Maple Syrup
Optional Toppings: Add your favorite fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, or bananas, powdered sugar, or/and whip cream.  

Method
 

  1. Prep the brioche bread, cut into thin or thick slices and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl add your milk, whisked eggs, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, sugar, salt and stir all the ingredients until well blended.
  3. Melt a few pieces of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Dip the bread slices into the egg mixture, turning to coat evenly on both sides and then place into the skillet.
  5. Fry the bread slices until cooked through and browned. Flip halfway through cooking time to cook both sides. It may take up to 2 to 4 minutes, but you should get a nice golden-brown color on each side.
  6. Once the French toast is completely cooked, remove from the skillet and repeat the process until all the bread is cooked.
  7. Serve with syrup and Enjoy.
