Easy Salmon Salad Bowl Recipe
This delicious salmon salad bowl recipe is the perfect dish for when you want something lite and healthy. This salad bowl is so nutritious and flavorful. It’s a simple meal that you can whip up in just a few minutes. The salmon is nicely seasoned with a few spices and a little drizzle of olive oil. The garlic powder and Cajun seasoning adds great flavor to the salmon.
Don’t hesitate to add your own touch to this easy salad bowl. Feel free to switch up the spices and ingredients. For this recipe I just popped the seasoned salmon into the oven and allowed it to bake for 20 minutes @ 400°F. As an alternative, feel free to pan sear the salmon. Use whatever method works for you. My motto is all about making things easy while preparing dinner. Cooking is supposed to be fun!
A couple things to note:
- the salmon could easily be swapped out with any fish of your choice or chicken if you prefer.
- Feel free to use your favorite salad blend: Romaine lettuce, Italian Blend, Kale, Garden Salad blend, or Spring Mix.
- Add your favorite salad toppings such as shredded carrots, sliced avocado, onion, or croutons.
Easy Salmon Salad Bowl Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 Salmon fillets
- 10oz Bag Salad (Options: Romaine lettuce, Italian Blend, Kale, Garden Salad blend, or Spring Mix.)
- 2 tsp Olive oil
- 1/4 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper (Alternatives: Seasoned black pepper or lemon pepper seasoning)
- 1 to 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Chili powder
- 1 Lemon
- 1/2 Sliced cucumber
- 1/2 cup Sliced tomato
- Salad dressing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Clean & prep the salmon fillets (optional: remove the skin)
- Pat dry the salmon fillets with paper towel.
- Drizzle olive oil over the salmon.
- Season with the spices (you can season the fish to your liking)
- Rub the ingredients onto the salmon.
- Flip the salmon over & season the other side as well.
- Place the fillets in a baking dish.
- Squeeze the juice of 1/2 a lemon over the fillets and add fresh lemon slices on top.
- Optional: cover the baking pan with aluminum foil.
- Place the baking dish in the oven.
- Allow the fish to cook 15 to 20 minutes.
- Once the fish is done, remove from the oven and set aside.
- Prepare your salad bowl with the salad blend of your choice.
- Add the sliced cucumber and tomato
- Add the salmon on top and pair with your favorite salad dressing. Enjoy!
