The Best French Toast Recipe

Add your favorite toppings like powdered sugar, banana slices, whipped cream, or a variety of fresh berries.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices Bread (White bread, challah, or brioche)
  • ¼ to ½ cup Milk
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 ½ tsp Vanilla
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp Brown sugar
  • Butter
  • Maple Syrup
  • Toppings: fruits, powdered sugar, and whip cream.

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl add the milk, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, sugar, and stir all the ingredients together
  • In a skillet on medium high heat, add some butter and allow it to melt.
  • Dip the bread slices into the egg mixture and then place into the skillet.
  • Fry the bread slices until you get a nice golden-brown color on one side, then flip the bread over to brown the other side.

  • Once the French toast is done and has a nice golden-brown color, remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Repeat the process as necessary.
  • Serve with warm maple syrup and your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
