Method
Chicken:
- Prep & clean your chicken. Pat dry with a paper towel.
- Drizzle some olive oil over the chicken & fresh lemon juice.
- Season the chicken with the spices
- After you season the chicken, rub the seasonings into the chicken.
- Allow the chicken to marinate for 10 minutes.
- On medium high heat, add some olive oil to a skillet.
- Once the oil gets hot, add the chicken and cook on one side for 5 to 8 minutes.
- Flip the chicken over and cook the other side for another 5 to 8 minutes.
- ***Cooking time will vary based on the thickness of the meat. Ensure doneness with a thermometer @ 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Once the chicken has fully cooked through, remove from the skillet and set aside.
Bell Peppers
- Clean & prep the veggies beforehand.
- Slice the Onion and bell peppers.
- Drizzle some olive oil and add some spices to season the veggies.
- Add the veggies to the skillet and stir consistently.
- Sauté the veggies for 3 to 5 minutes or until they are tender to your liking.
Mashed Potatoes
- Clean the potatoes beforehand
- Peel the potatoes and cut into smaller pieces
- In a pot add some water and place the pot on the stove at high heat.
- Allow the water to come to a bowl, add some salt, and the potatoes.
- Cook the potatoes until they become tender. You can pierce the potatoes with a fork to check for softness.
- Once the potatoes are soft, drain the potatoes in a colander.
- On medium high heat in a clean pot, add some butter and allow it to melt.
- Add the cooked potatoes to the pot and use a masher to mash the potatoes.
- Once the potatoes are mashed, turn the heat off.
- Add some half & half or milk and season the mash potatoes to your liking.
- Stir everything together.
TGI Fridays Plate set up:
- On medium high heat add some cheese to a round cast iron skillet or pan.
- Then, plate the skillet or pan with the cooked chicken, veggies, and potatoes.
- Allow the cheese to melt.
- Once the cheese has melted and starts to sizzle, Turn the stove off.
- Be careful the skillet is hot.
- Serve the food when you're ready to eat.
