Lemon Garlic Shrimp Scampi Recipe

This delicious recipe is packed with savory garlic shrimp! The sauce has a soft hint of fresh lemon juice and butter, that's tossed in pasta. You can pair this dish with cheesy garlic bread and a nice cup of your favorite red wine.

- 1 Ib Shrimp
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 Ib linguine or thin spaghetti
- ½ tsp Paprika
- ½ tsp Black pepper (for taste)
- ½ tsp Tony Chachere's creole seasoning (for taste)
- 2 tsp Garlic
- Juice of ½ lemon
- ½ cup Barefoot Sauvignon Blanc dry white wine (Alternative: Use chicken stock as a substitute for dry white wine)
- parmesan cheese
- Parsley (for garnishment)
Peel, devein, & rinse the shrimp off under cold water.
Pat dry the shrimp with paper towel and place the shrimp in a medium bowl.
On medium-high heat in a skillet, add the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.
Next, add the fresh garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant (about 1 to 2 minutes).
Add the shrimp to the skillet and season the shrimp with the dry spices.
Sauté the shrimp for 3 to 4 minutes or until pink (Do not overcook the shrimp).
Pour in the wine, lemon juice, and stir your sauce. (Alternative: If you don't want to use wine, you may use chicken stock as a substitute instead).
Turn the heat to low.
Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet & stir the butter into the sauce until it melts.
Next, allow the sauce to simmer for 2 minutes.
When the shrimp scampi sauce is done, do a taste test. (Add additional seasoning if needed)
Serve the shrimp scampi over pasta, rice, veggies or just garlic bread.
Garnish the with fresh parsley and parmesan cheese.
