First, clean & prep the raw shrimp beforehand.
Peel & devein the shrimp, you may remove the tails if you like.
Pat dry the shrimp with a paper towel.
Next, Prepare the flour mixture. Season with the dry seasonings & whisk the seasonings into the flour. Set it aside.
Note: You may season both the shrimp & flour, it’s based on your preference.
Prepare the egg mixture. In a medium bowl: add the eggs, hot sauce, & yellow mustard. Whisk all the ingredients and set aside.
After the shrimp has been cleaned- dip the shrimp into the egg mixture. Shake off excess.
Coat the shrimp in the seasoned flour.
Then set the shrimp to the side on a baking sheet or wire rack.
In a frying pan or pot, heat up some oil to 350 degrees F. (Note: Add enough oil to cover the shrimp or about an inch of oil)
Once the oil is hot, add the shrimp in batches.
Allow the shrimp to fry for 3 to 5 minutes, or until golden brown. (Note: stir or flip the shrimp over halve way through cooking time to ensure it’s cooked evenly)
Once the shrimp is properly cooked, drain the shrimp on paper towels.
Continue cooking the remaining shrimp in batches until it’s all done.
Serve with cocktail sauce and fresh French fries. Enjoy!
