Season the steak. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the steak and add the dry seasonings (black pepper, salt, and Lawry’s Casero total seasoning. Rub the seasonings into the steak and make sure to season both sides.
Marinate the steak for 10 to 15 minutes.
Preheat some olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat, once the oil is hot add the steak.
Sear the steak on both sides and allow the steaks to brown and get a nice crust. The cooking time will vary and based on personal preference.
Tip: For medium cook 3 to 5 minutes on each side; for well-done cook 5 to 6 minutes on each side.
In the last minute or two of cooking, Add some fresh garlic and butter to the pan. Once the butter melts, baste the steak with the butter. (Optional: you can add fresh rosemary or thyme to the steak, just a few sprigs)
Once the steak is done, remove from skillet and allow the steak to rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
