Delicious Creamy Shrimp Bowtie Pasta Recipe

This creamy pasta recipe is packed with flavor and is so delicious. My recipe is a slight twist on the classic Alfredo fettuccine. For this recipe I switched out the fettuccine with bow-tie pasta instead.
Course: dinner, lunch, Main Course
Cuisine: American, Italian

Ingredients

  • 1 Ib Shrimp
  • 1/2 Ib to 1 Ib Bow tie Pasta
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tsp Garlic minced
  • 3 Tbs Butter
  • 1 cup Half & Half
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 Seasoned Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp McCormick Salt-Free Onion & Herb
  • 1 tsp Old Bay Garlic & Herb
  • 1 tsp Dash Lemon Pepper Seasoning

Method

  1. On high heat bring a pot of water to a boil. Once the water comes to a boil, add a little salt and the pasta.
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions & stir frequently. Once the pasta is done, drain in a colander and set aside.
  3. Next, clean & devein the shrimp.
  4. Season the shrimp with the old bay seasoning garlic & herb and the dash lemon pepper seasoning.
  5. On medium high heat, in a skillet melt 2 Tbs of butter. (Optional: you can use olive oil instead)
  6. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet. Cook 2 minutes on one side, then flip the shrimp over and cook the other side for 2 more minutes.
  7. Tip: * Fully cooked shrimp will become an opaque whitish color.
  8. Once the shrimp is done, remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  9. Add 1 tbs of butter to the same pan and allow it to melt.
  10. Add the garlic & sauté the garlic for about 1 to 2 minutes or until it becomes fragrant.
  11. Next, whisk in the half & half and heavy whipping cream.
  12. Season the sauce with the spices: (seasoned black pepper, garlic powder, and McCormick salt-free onion & herb) & stir.
  13. Add the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  14. Continue to stir your sauce consistently while the cheese to melts.
  15. Once the cheese has melted, do a taste test of your sauce and adjust if needed.
  16. Add the cooked pasta and shrimp to the sauce.
  17. Stir everything together.
  18. Garnish with parsley
  19. You may serve the creamy shrimp pasta with a chef salad and garlic bread. Enjoy!
