Ingredients

  • 1 pound Jumbo or lump crab meat
  • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 lemon Zest & Juiced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Garlic & Herb seasoning For taste
  • 1/2 tsp Seasoned Black Pepper For taste
  • 1/4 Cup Red Bell Pepper Diced
  • 2 Tbsp Green onions Diced
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh Parsley
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic minced
  • 1 cup saltine crackers crushed (Substitute: Panko Breadcrumb)
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/3 Cup Unsalted Butter or Regular Butter Melted
  • Optional: lemon wedges and remoulade sauce for serving

Instructions

  • In a bowl add all the ingredients except the melted butter. Whisk or mix everything together.
  • Gently toss the crab meat & crackers into the mixture and make sure it’s well coated.
  • Line the baking pan or sheet with aluminum foil. Spray with cooking spray or add a small drizzle of olive oil.
  • Gently form the crab mixture into equal sized patties.
  • Place the crab cakes on to the baking pan or sheet.
  • Cover the pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • Allow the crab cakes to chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour. (This will give the crab cakes time to set & will prevent the crab cakes from falling apart)
  • After the crab cakes have set for 1 hour, Preheat the oven at 450 degrees.
  • Place the crab cakes into the oven and bake for 10 to 13 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  • Melt some butter in a microwave container and brush the melted butter over the crab cakes.
  • Place the crab cakes under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Note: Keep an eye on the crab cakes so they don’t burn.
  • Once the crab cakes are fully cooked, remove from the oven.
  • Serve with fresh lemon slices and remoulade sauce. Enjoy!
