In a bowl add all the ingredients except the melted butter. Whisk or mix everything together.
Gently toss the crab meat & crackers into the mixture and make sure it’s well coated.
Line the baking pan or sheet with aluminum foil. Spray with cooking spray or add a small drizzle of olive oil.
Gently form the crab mixture into equal sized patties.
Place the crab cakes on to the baking pan or sheet.
Cover the pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Allow the crab cakes to chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour. (This will give the crab cakes time to set & will prevent the crab cakes from falling apart)
After the crab cakes have set for 1 hour, Preheat the oven at 450 degrees.
Place the crab cakes into the oven and bake for 10 to 13 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside.
Melt some butter in a microwave container and brush the melted butter over the crab cakes.
Place the crab cakes under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.
Note: Keep an eye on the crab cakes so they don’t burn.
Once the crab cakes are fully cooked, remove from the oven.
Serve with fresh lemon slices and remoulade sauce. Enjoy!
