Frozen Berry Margarita Recipe
This colorful, fruity & vibrant triple berry margarita is so delicious and enticing!
It’s the perfect frozen cocktail to indulge in; especially during the summer months when it’s nice, bright, and sunny outside. Cold & refreshing- this cocktail is so smooth! This frozen berry margarita is filled with scrumptious strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries.
If you love drinks like margaritas- then you’ve come to the right place! The intense flavor from the combination of berries comes through in every sip of this frozen beverage. Plus, if you want to make this drink more of a slushy- just add more ice cubes. You can use your alcohol of choice rather it’s rum, tequila, and you can even go as far to use vodka. I sweetened my margarita with simple syrup and strawberry infused syrup. So don’t skip out on this step.
If you don’t want to use blackberries, then you can use blueberries and still get a great tasting margarita. Or you can simply add the blueberries in addition to the blackberries! But the combination of sweet fruit & fresh squeezed lime juice is the perfect flavor mix.
Feel free to play around &/or switch out the berries to your liking. If you use blackberries keep in mind, they contain edible seeds. You can remove the seeds by pouring the liquid into a fine mesh sieve and push the juice seeds and pulp out with a wooden spoon to remove seeds. Another important tip is to rim the glasses, it helps to bring this frozen berry margarita together. Prepare the glasses by rubbing the rims with a wedge of lime and dip in salt. Once the frozen triple berry margarita is at the consistency you like, pour into serving glasses. Feel free to garnish the cups with fresh strawberries and/or mint.
This berry infused frozen margarita is so luscious & delicious. The perfect cocktail for festivities or to unwind for the evening.
I hope you enjoy this recipe!
Frozen Berry Margarita Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 Cups Frozen mixed berry fruit
- Salt or Sugar (for glass rims)
- 1 ½ to 2 cups Ice
- ½ cup Strawberry Puree Infused Syrup And/Or Simple syrup (I used 1/4 cup of the strawberry syrup & 1/4 of simple syrup)
- 1 Tbsp Fresh lime juice
- 1 cup Rum, Tequila, or Vodka (Use your alcohol of choice)
- Garnish with Lime slices &/ or fresh berries
Instructions
- Prep the glasses by coating the rim of the glass. Add lime juice to some salt or sugar (about 1 to 2 tablespoons) and add to a plate.
- Next, take a lime wedge and go around the rim of the glass to cover with lime juice then gently dab the lime rimmed glass in the lime salt/or sugar blend. Set the glasses to the side until ready for use.
- Then to a blender add the frozen berries, ice cubes, tequila, lime juice, and Strawberry Puree Infused Syrup &/or simple syrup.
- Blend until smooth and no chunks remain. Or until it's at the consistency you like.
- Note: To remove the seeds from the blackberries after you blend the ingredients together - use a sieve. The seeds aren’t harmful, but if you use blackberries instead of blueberries it’s something to keep in mind.
- If using blackberries- you can pour the liquid into a fine mesh sieve and push the juice seeds and pulp out with a wooden spoon to remove seeds.
- Pour the frozen berry margarita into the glasses and garnish with lime wedges and/or strawberry. Enjoy!
