So, I had to add a little spin on one of my favorite classic meals. I started out by sautéing some spinach in melted butter. Once the vibrant green spinach started to wilt down, I poured in my whisked brown eggs and scrambled them. I allowed my eggs to set for a few seconds over medium heat before I stirred them. Plus, I can’t have my scrambled eggs without topping them off with some melted velvety cheese. I sprinkled some shredded mozzarella & cheddar cheese over the top. I paired my steak & cheesy spinach eggs with some sliced avocado. But breakfast potatoes are a great & classic addition for this meal.
For this recipe- The steak was so tender & well-seasoned with a few spices such as black pepper, garlic powder, steakhouse seasoning & an onion & herb Seasoning blend. I Sautéed my steak in a little drizzle of olive oil. Then, I finished my steak off by adding fresh garlic cloves & basting it with some good butter. Now, when it comes to steak and eggs- it’s important to pick out a good cut of steak that will be tender & has a good blend of fat. There are a few options when trying to pick out the perfect steak. New York strip, ribeye steak, and sirloin are good options to choose from. But buy a steak cut that is affordable and convenient for you. You can even use flank steak, but I wouldn’t recommend a filet mignon for this breakfast dish.
Steak & eggs is such a hearty versatile meal. This elegant & indulgent breakfast duo is so delicious and fulfilling. When it comes to seasoning your steak, for some people salt & pepper is the standard. But feel free to add some fresh herbs & spices. A good substitute for just regular salt & pepper would be a great steakhouse seasoning. I absolutely love Kinder’s Buttery steakhouse seasoning blend & another favorite of mine is Montreal steak seasoning.
You don’t like your eggs scrambled? Well, that won’t be a problem. You can cook your eggs based on your favorite preference. Rather it’s scrambled, over easy, sunny side up, or even omelet style. But I scrambled my eggs because I loved the addition of sautéed spinach mixed in. If you don’t want to add any healthy greens- feel free to omit.
Steak & eggs is a duo classic. It’s a tasty, hearty, and satisfying breakfast to make. It’s perfect for when you’re hungry & want to get your food grub on! This recipe is so simple & easy to follow- I hope you enjoy it.
