Easy Egg Fried Rice Recipe!
This egg fried rice recipe pairs well with my jalapeño chicken bites recipe.
Make sure to drizzle a little yum yum sauce over your fried rice.

I love to add a few egg rolls, dumplings or pot sticker,
and Chinese garlic green beans to make a complete fulfilling meal.
Fried rice is one of the easiest meals you can prepare on a short notice. This recipe is a Quick and simple fried rice recipe that you can whip up in just under 10 minutes. Especially if you prep the veggies and prepare the rice the day before. This dish is convenient and full of flavor for those quick weeknight dinners. If you want to add a little protein to your fried rice- feel free to cook and prepare shrimp, chicken, pork, or steak. Just cook the meat beforehand and once it’s properly cooked; toss in at the end when the fried rice is almost done. Don’t forget to add a little yum yum sauce to your fried rice. The yum yum sauce brings extra flavor and it’s so delicious to pair with any fried rice.
This egg fried rice recipe is budget friendly! If you love to cook, most of the ingredients should be a standard you keep in the pantry or fridge. You may just need to only buy the fresh veggies.
A few extra tips:
- I didn’t add peas and carrots this time, but feel free to toss those extra veggies in.
- Now, keep in mind that the oyster sauce is completely optional. If you have shellfish allergies, please omit the oyster sauce. A good alternative would be hoisin sauce or omit both.
- Try to use day old rice. But if you can’t- just freeze the warm or hot rice for 30 to 40 minutes.
- The garlic butter can be store brought or homemade. If you make it homemade- Try to prepare the garlic butter the day before.
- Make this dish a complete meal by adding a few side dishes or appetizers such as dumplings, pot sticker, egg rolls, Chinese garlic green beans, or salad.

Method
- Dice up the white onion, garlic, green onion, and set aside.
- In a bowl crack the eggs and whisk until blended, then set aside.
- Next, Heat up the oil in a skillet or wok over medium high heat.
- Add the onion and garlic sauté until the garlic becomes fragrant.
- Add the whisked eggs, cook until they take shape but are still moist. Add the cooked rice and mix the egg into the rice.
- Add the soy sauce & oyster sauce, mix until everything is well combined.
- Toss in the green onions & garlic butter, mix until the butter is melted.
- Serve immediately, enjoy!
