The wings are not heavily breaded or double dipped. The chicken wings are absolutely perfect and fried to excellence.
This is a quick and easy recipe to follow. You will have juicy, tender fried chicken wings in no time. I seasoned my chicken wings with garlic powder, onion powder, chef Paul’s poultry seasoning and black pepper (or lemon pepper). If you use these seasonings, there’s no need to add salt- chef Paul’s poultry seasoning does have salt in it. Feel free to make any adjustments and/or season the chicken how you like. If you want to just use salt and pepper, that’s completely fine. For the oil- you can use canola, vegetable, or peanut oil. Allow the oil to reach a good cooking temperature such as 350°F. Once the oil is hot- add the wings and it should take about 8 to 13 minutes to fry. Note: the cooking time will vary. But properly cooked chicken should reach at least 165°F. Also, I recommend that you use fresh oil and not old oil when frying the chicken wings.
Tip: How To Clean Chicken
**** I understand that not everyone believes in cleaning their chicken and that’s ok. But for those of you that like to prep and clean the chicken beforehand- this is my quick steps on what I do.
Steps:
To clean the wings add them to a large bowl. Fill the bowl with enough cold water to cover the chicken wings and add a little bit of lemon juice &/or vinegar to the water. Remove any feathers and let the chicken soak for about 5 to 10 minutes. Next, pour the vinegar/water solution out and rinse the chicken wings under running cold water a few times. Pat dry with a paper towel.
