For this recipe- I recommend using ripe or softened peaches for muddling and we cannot forget some juicy strawberries. I like to muddle all the ingredients together until I can squeeze as much juice out as I can. You can use store bought simple syrup or make your own. Flavored syrups such as strawberry and peach are perfect as well, the flavored syrups give the cocktail an extra boost of yumminess. When I made this cocktail, I was not picky about the alcohol shots- so use whatever alcohol brand you like and enjoy.
Tips: How to rim cocktail glasses
Salting a Rim:
- Run a lime wedge along the rim of the glass cups. (Tip: Keep the glass upside down to avoid the lime liquid from running down in the sides)
- Pour some salt or a flavored cocktail rimming salt blend on a plate. Dip the rim of your glass into the salt or hold the glass at an angle and slowly spin the glass through the salt- coating the rim glass.
- Set the glass aside before pouring cocktail. This allows the salt to set/dry along the glass rim.
Peach Strawberry Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 oz Alcohol Shot (Rum, Vodka, or Tequila)
- 1 oz Simple Syrup (Substitute: Strawberry or Peach flavored syrup which will add more flavor)
- ½ oz Lime juice
- Handful of strawberries
- Handful of Peaches (softened or ripe)
- Sliced lime
- Ice
Instructions
- Clean & prep the fresh fruit for muddling, then place into a cocktail shaker.
- Pour in the simple syrup (or peach/strawberry infused syrup if using) and fresh lime juice.
- Use a muddler to infuse the flavors of the fruit.
- **Note: muddle & press down on the fruit until you see the juices released.
- Pour in the ice and your alcohol shot of choice.
- Place the top on the cocktail shaker and shake until cold.
- Tip: If you like your drinks on the rock, just add a few ice chips to your serving cup before pouring the cocktails. Also, feel free to rim the serving glasses.
- Pour the peach strawberry cocktail into the serving glasses.
- Garnish with fresh lime, lemon, or strawberry slices. Enjoy!
